At Fahan we recognise the importance of student leadership by the senior students in the school.  This is leadership that is not a reflection of title or position, rather one which provides the opportunity to give of one’s self for the benefit of others.  This is authentic leadership of and for the Fahan community.

Student leadership at Fahan carries with it responsibility.  It requires people who demonstrate those essential qualities of consideration, determination, courage and humility and it necessitates that all those who have such responsibility will be accountable for their conduct and the decisions they make arising from their considerations.

In the first week of Term 1, the School conducted the Service of Investiture of Student Leaders Assembly. The service formalised the appointment of the 12 student Leaders of 2021 and called on these girls, in accepting their leadership roles, to accept the responsibilities that are associated with them. They committed to undertaking these roles to the best of their ability, with due consideration to the reasonable expectations of the School and the needs of the student population whom they will serve.

During the service, the Year 12 students took great pride in revealing their 2021 Mission Statement:

“We inspire a community that fosters a positive, welcoming and supportive environment. Valuing the unique Fahan spirit, we will move forward demonstrating passion, enthusiasm and optimism. Our common purpose is to live every day intentionally, with kindness and resilience. The values we inherit will continue to shape the evolving footprint that empowers our fellow Fahan girls, and the leaders of the future. No matter what may divide us, we are driven by what unites us; creating everlasting bonds, memories and friendships.”

We congratulate our entire Year 12 group and, in particular, our Leaders for 2021:
